A Step-by-Step Guide to Balloon Twisting | Your First Balloon Dog!

It all starts with the basic but beloved puppy balloon animal. Follow the below instructions carefully and remember that all things come to those who practise:
1 | Inflate the balloon leaving some air at the end for the puppy’s tail to wag (a balloon pump is always a handy option here).
2 | Tie the knot at the end to seal the balloon and this then becomes your doggy's nose.
3 | Key point - it’s all about the “pinch and twist”, pinch the balloon with your fingers and twist it round and round.
4 | Pinch a 5cm length of the balloon and twist the balloon bubble round and round several times. You have now formed the puppies face.
5 | Pinch and twist a further 5cms length balloon bubble two more times to create his ears side by side on top of his head. Make sure the final twist puts the two ears on top of his head.
This all needs to be done as your fingers hold on to the twists, otherwise you will discover “the great untwist” and be back at the beginning again.
6 | Time to make your puppy's neck. Pinch and twist a 5cm length of the balloon and do the final twist so that his neck is underneath and the ears are on top.
7 | Time to make your puppy's two front legs. Pinch and twist 5cm length of balloon, end the twist with the balloon bubble facing downward this time. This is the puppy's first front leg.
8 | Hold on to the first front leg as you then pinch and twist a 5cm balloon bubble to create the second front leg. You should begin to see you puppy taking shape by now.
9 | Next his body. Measure a 10cm length for the next balloon bubble, pinch and twist to lock it in.
10 | Back legs time. Repeat the procedure for the two front legs.
11 | And last but not least it’s tail time. Pinch and twist a 5cm balloon bubble and end with it on top of the back legs.
Your puppy is ready now to wag his tail and happily lick his new owner!
